Our Story
Buscando Bachata started in the Southern California dance scene. If you wanted to find a social or a class, you had to scroll through dozens of Instagram accounts, check multiple group chats, and hope someone posted a flyer in time. Great events slipped by simply because word didn't reach the right people.
So we built a scraper. It pulled flyers from Instagram, extracted event details using AI, and put everything in one place. What started as a side project for a handful of dancers quickly grew into something bigger — a full platform for discovering events across the dance community.
Today, Buscando Bachata is an event discovery and ticketing platform. We aggregate socials, classes, workshops, and festivals from across the country. Organizers can sell tickets at a flat $0.89 per ticket — no percentage fees, no monthly subscriptions — and every ticket sold contributes to the Dance Education Fund.
Our focus is accessibility. Every dancer should be able to find their next social, class, or festival without digging through social media. And every organizer should be able to sell tickets without losing a chunk of their revenue to platform fees.

Founding partners pay $0.00 in platform fees as a thank-you for supporting the platform early on. Because the charity contribution comes from the platform fee, founding partners also contribute $0.00 to the fund — but their events still get full access to every feature.
